NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast men's tennis team suffered a tough 9-0 loss to NCAA Div. II No. 25-ranked University of Southern Indiana on Wednesday.
The Grenadiers dug themselves a deep hole by dropping all three doubles matches. The No. 1 doubles team of Nick Roby and Jacob Rankin kept their match close before falling 8-4.
In singles play, the Grenadiers dropped each of their singles matches in straight sets. Sophomore Jonathan James lost 6-3, 6-4 and junior Trent Wallace fell 6-4, 6-2 but both kept pace with their opponents early.
The Grenadiers head to Alice Lloyd and Pikeville tomorrow.
