LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The IU Southeast men's tennis team dropped a competitive match to Bellarmine University 6-3 on Friday.

Doubles was very competitive with Nick Roby and Trent Wallace taking the number one position posting an 8-5 victory. The team they beat in Jose Legarreta and Zachary Kuo had just taken down the No. 8-ranked doubles team in the country from Lindsey Wilson a week prior.

Jonathan James and Chris Braun got out to a slow start and were unable to mount a comeback falling 8-3. In the third spot Jacob Rankin and Bryson Mills went back and forth holding serve the entire match until getting broke at 6-7 to drop the match 8-6.

In singles play Bellarmine took the top four spots in straight sets but the Grenadiers were able to post two more victories at five and six singles with three set super-tiebreak wins by Jacob Rankin and Chris Braun.

The Grenadiers head to Division I opponent Wright State on Feb.21st.
