NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's tennis team shut out Berea College in the Grenadiers' first dual match of the year on Sunday.

The Grenadiers (1-0) made quick work in doubles play with the closest match coming at No. 1 doubles with Alexis Applegate and Dana Frank coming out on top 8-3.

In singles play, freshmen Jeannie Soto and Peighton Dobbins started their college careers off on a high note winning in straight sets.

IU Southeast moved to 16-0 against Berea dating back to 2006.

The Grenadiers host Oakland City on Oct. 1 at 3:30 p.m.
