HANOVER, Ind. - The IU Southeast men's tennis team cruised past Hanover 8-1 on Thursday.
The Grenadiers started the match off strong in doubles action taking all three spots by scores of 8-1, 8-3 and 8-2. The momentum continued into singles play with the Grenadiers winning at spots 2-6 all in straight sets. Jon James lost a close match at No. 1 singles 6-2, 2-6, (10-2). The Grenadiers had strong play from both their newcomers and upperclassmen.
Freshmen Garret Fensler and Brock Winchell made quick work of their opponents, winning 6-3, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-3, respectively.
Next up for the men's tennis team is a doubleheader at home against Bellarmine at 11am and Oakland City at 3:30PM.
