MIDWAY, Ky. - The IU Southeast women's tennis team moved to 3-0 in conference play with a 9-0 win over Midway Tuesday.
The team came out strong in doubles play only dropping on game at No. 1 doubles and headed into singles play up 3-0. The Grenadiers swept singles play with Anne Mattox having the closest match at No. 3 singles winning 6-4,6-3. Singles spots 4-6 Jeannie Soto, Peighton Dobbins and Brennyn Pollert all won by a score of 6-0, 6-1. Alexis Applegate won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Dana Frank was the last one off the court with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.
The women's team is now 3-0 in conference play and 8-3 overall. Next up is a tough match at Georgetown college who is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll Saturday at 1 p.m.
