KOKOMO, Ind. - The IU Southeast women's tennis team picked up an 8-1 win against IU Kokomo in their conference opener on Friday.
In doubles action, the Grenadiers took all three positions by a score of 8-2 or better to take the early lead. Freshman Tam Horton, Lauren Winchell and Camille Greenwell won in convincing fashion at spots two-four to clinch the match and take a 6-0 lead. Dana Frank and Jeannie Soto also had singles wins on the day securing eight points for the Grenadiers. Brennyn Pollert had a tough match at No. 6 singles competing hard but eventually falling 6-4, 6-3.
The Grenadiers will be in action again Friday March 30 at home against University of Southern Indiana.
