NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Junior infielder Daniel Brescia has been named the River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week, the conference announced today.

Brescia, a Mountain Home, Idaho native, hit .426 in the Grenadiers' three-game series win at IU Kokomo last weekend. IU Southeast dropped the series opener before sweeping the doubleheader. Brescia was 6-for-13 in the series with four runs scored and a RBI. He was 3-for-5 with three runs scored, a double and a triple in the final game of the series.

He ranks No. 17 in the RSC in batting average (.338) and runs scored per game (0.72).

The Grenadiers (21-7) head to Lindsey Wilson College Tuesday for a 5 p.m. ET contest.
