NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The IU Southeast women's tennis team defeated Kentucky Wesleyan 7-0 on Friday.
The top two doubles teams of Lauren Winchell/Camille Greenwell and Hallee Miller/Kate Heuchan secured the doubles point for IU Southeast to start the match with a pair of 6-2 wins.
Then the Grenadiers were dominant in singles action. The closest match was Jeannie Soto's 6-4, 6-4 win over Jenna Payne at No. 4 singles. Lauren Winchell picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles, Camille Greenwell won 6-3, 6-3 at No .2 singles and Hallee Miller won 6-2, 6-1 at No .3 singles.
Freshmen Kate Heuchan and Emma Ellis also posted victories: Huechan won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 singles and Emma Ellis won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
IU Southeast travels to South Bend, Ind. on Oct. 18 to face IU South Bend.
