NEW ALBANY, Ind. - IU Southeast women's tennis went 2-0 on the weekend with wins over Bethel and St. Francis.
On Saturday afternoon the Grenadiers took down Bethel winning the top two doubles positions by scores of 6-3 and 6-1. In singles action the top 3 positions won in straight sets but the bottom half of the lineup had to work a bit harder with all matches going three sets. Katie Weimer and Emma Ellis won with the lone loss coming at number 5 to give the Grenadiers a 6-1 victory.
On Sunday the Grenadiers looked much stronger taking all three doubles positions to start the match. In singles action the Grenadiers did not drop a single set across the board. The closest match on the day was Anna Littlefield at #3 singles who won 6-3, 6-4.
With the two victories this weekend and a previous win over Hanover IU Southeast tennis concludes its fall dual matches and will take a 3-0 record heading into spring season. IU Southeast will conclude fall play at the ITA Regional Championships this week in Marion, IN.
