STERLINGTON, La. – The IU Southeast baseball team dropped 1-0 and 3-0 decisions to No. 10 LSU-Shreveport and No. 3 Southeastern on Friday.

In the opener against LSUS, the Grenadiers had a runner in scoring position in the top of the first when Daunte DeCello singled and stole second but he was stranded there after a pair of strikeouts ended the inning.

IU Southeast loaded the bases in the third inning with two outs after an error and a pair of walks to Brody Tanksley and Marco Romero but Derek Wagner flew out to left to end the inning.

Wagner got the Grenadiers' second hit of the game in the sixth inning but the IU Southeast offense was shut down after that.

The Pilots' struck for the game's only run in the bottom of the sixth when they executed a double steal and a wild throw to second got away and allowed JB Trees to score.

That was the only run the Pilots needed as the Grenadiers were retired in order in the seventh.

Against Southeastern, IU Southeast threatened to take an early lead once again. In the second inning, Wagner singled, moved to second on a groundout and third on a wild pitch but was left there when Brandon Boxer struck out.

The Fire opened the scoring when Isaac Nunez homered in the second inning and added on in the third when Gary Lora hit a solo home run.

IU Southeast had runners on the corners after an error but another strikeout ended the threat.

The Fire added another run in the fourth inning on a RBI single from Nunez.

Trevor Campbell led off the sixth with a single but Robb Adams did not allow a hit after that. He worked a complete-game, three-hit shutout for the win. He struck out 12 and walked three.

Trevor Campbell had two of the three hits in the game for IU Southeast.

The Grenadiers take on Tabor College and LSU-Alexandria on Saturday.
