Box Score 2 ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The IU Southeast women's tennis team defeated Concordia University (Mich.) 6-1 on Friday and fell to Adrian College 8-1 on Saturday.
IU Southeast won all three doubles matches against Concordia to secure a point.
Anna Littlefield and
Katie Weimer won 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles,
Maci Vaughn and
Elana Hamby won 6-2, and
Savanah Appell and
Syrenia Hardy won 6-1 at No. 3 doubles.
The Grenadiers won five of the six singles matches against Concordia.
Anna Littlefield won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
Maci Vaughn did not drop a game at No. 3 singles, cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 win.
Elana Hamby was dominant at No. 4 singles, winning 6-1, 6-0.
Savanah Appell won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 5 singles, and
Syrenia Hardy won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.
Against Adrian College, IU Southeast picked up a point at No. 3 doubles as
Savanah Appell and
Syrenia Hardy secured an 8-4 win. No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles all went to three sets, but ultimately it was Adrian College who came out ahead.
IU Southeast travels to Kentucky Wesleyan on Oct. 14.
