FLOYDS KNOBS, Ind. – The IU Southeast men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to Shawnee State on Friday.
The Grenadiers lost the doubles point but the No. 2 team of
Keith Asplund and
Owen Law dropped a close match 6-4 that was tightly contested throughout.
In singles play,
Connor Mason dropped a tough match at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-1 vs the presumptive player of the year in the conference Abubaker Yakabu Lea.
Camden Jones fell 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and
Keith Asplund lost a close match 7-5, 6-4 to Ivan Walaru at No. 4 singles.
The Grenadiers take on the University of Southern Indiana Sunday at 9 a.m. followed by Hanover at 3 p.m. with Senior Day prior to that match.
