Floyds Knobs, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's tennis team fell 4-1 to Shawnee State on Friday.
 
In doubles play, the Grenadiers lost the doubles point at the  No. 2 and No. 3 positions but Anna Littlefield and Katie Weimer were leading their match 5-4.
 
Anna Littlefield carried that momentum into singles play defeating Vanessa Akuaka 7-5, 6-1.
 
The Grenadiers lost two more singles matches plus forfeited the No. 6 position to lose the match.
 
The Grenadiers take on University Southern on Sunday at 9 a.m. followed by Hanover at 3 p.m. with Senior Day prior to that match.
