JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's tennis team got past Hanover 4-3 on Senior Day.
The Grenadiers dropped the doubles point though the top team of
Anna Littlefield and
Katie Weimer cruised 6-3.
In singles play, fittingly on Senior Day the Grenadier senior duo of Littlefield and Weimer was dominant.
Anna Littlefield won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and
Katie Weimer won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles to put the Grenadiers to tie the match at 2 after the Grenadiers defaulted at No. 6 singles.
Syrenia Hardy won 6-0, 7-5 at No. 3 singles and
Maci Vaughn cruised 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles to win the match for IU Southeast.
Elana Hamby fell in a third set tiebreaker after battling back after dropping the first set 6-4 to win the second set 6-2 before falling 11-7.
IU Southeast travels to Earlham College on Friday.
