ADRIAN, Mich. – The IU Southeast men's tennis team split two matches to open the season, defeating Olivet 6-1 and falling to Adrian 7-0.
IU Southeast picked up the doubles point against Olivet as the Grenadiers took two of the three doubles matches. At #1 Doubles,
Brennan Cooper and
Trey Gutgsell won 6-2. At #2 Doubles,
Paxton Evitts and
DJ Hall swept their match 6-0.
IU Southeast also won five of the six singles matchups against Olivet.
Trey Gutgsell won at #1 Singles 6-2, 6-0.
DJ Hall picked up the win at #2 Singles 2-6, 6-2, 6-1.
Paxton Evitts won at #3 Singles 6-2, 6-3.
Doran Martin won at #4 Singles 6-4, 6-2, and
Brennan Cooper won at #5 Singles 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.
IU Southeast dropped the doubles point and all six singles points in a 7-0 loss to Adrian College on Sunday.
IU Southeast (1-1) returns to action on Saturday for the home opener against Johnson University.
