ADRIAN, Mich. – The IU Southeast women's tennis team split a pair of matches to open the season, defeating Olivet 5-2 on Saturday and falling to Adrian 5-2 on Sunday.
IU Southeast swept the three doubles matches to take the doubles point against Olivet.
Elana Hamby and
Maci Vaughn won 6-4 at #1 Doubles.
Caitlin Carter and
Kate Halbig won 6-0 at #2 Doubles, and
Ivy Hasenour and
Anellah Trujillo won 6-2 at #3 Doubles.
IU Southeast won four of the six singles matches against Olivet.
Maci Vaughn won at #2 Singles 7-6, 6-1.
Kate Halbig won at #3 Singles 6-3, 6-1.
Elana Hamby won at #5 Singles 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 and
Sydney Adams won at #6 Singles 6-2, 6-2.
On Sunday, Adrian swept the doubles matches to take the doubles point.
IU Southeast picked up their two points at #3 and #6 Singles.
Maci Vaughn won 6-1, 7-6 (3-0) and
Anellah Trujillo won 6-3, 4-6, 11-9.
IU Southeast (1-1) returns to action on Saturday for their home opener against Johnson University.
