FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Behind strong singles play, the IU Southeast women's tennis team defeated Saint Francis 5-2 Sunday.
The Grenadiers dropped the doubles point but bounced back quickly in singles play.
Anna Littlefield won 6-0, 6-1 in the top singles spot.
Katie Weimer won 6-1, 6-2 at No.2 singles and
Elana Hamby cruised 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles.
The two closest matches were at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions.
Syrenia Hardy won 6-3, 6-3 and
Maci Vaughn won 6-2, 6-4.
IU Southeast will open RSC Tournament play on Friday morning in Evansville. Brackets and tournament information will be released later this week.
